Japanese Contemporary Design & Craft Exhibition

A selection discovered by AMEICO in recent months in Japan which showcases traditional and contemporary work by a variety of designers and manufacturers throughout the country. Also shown, for the first time in the U.S., the monumental political poster Sheltered Weaklings, designed by Takashi Kono (1906-1999) in 1953 at the height of the cold war.

“King Stag” Original 1918 Dada Marionettes

IC Design introduces three posable figurines based on the original 1918 Dada marionettes by Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Sweden taxes ‘throwaway culture’

Sweden already recycles 99% of their garbage and buys trash from other European countries to power their waste to energy program; Sweden has taken a further step in combating waste.
